Shillong, Feb 5: Today’s match between Marbisu and Jongksha ended in a 1-1 draw in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division at Third Ground, Polo, here.
Teiborlang Khongsngi gave Jongksha the lead in the 29th minute but Marbisu equalised in the second half through Mebankhraw Kharkongor (67′). This was the maiden draw of Group A.
Marbisu thus extended their unbeaten run in the division to three games, having won their opening two. They are at the top of the group with 7 points, one ahead of Pohkseh (6).
Jongksha have played just the two matches, with today’s result giving them their first point. They were defeated by Mylliem at the start of the month.
