Shillong, Feb 24 (updated Feb 25): Suchen FC defeated Mookhla United 4-0 in the 6th Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Wahiajer SC, today but the match had to be halted before time after players on the losing side got a little too angry with the referee.
Suchen scored their goals through man-of-the-match Mohan Gurung and Nerjious Shylla.
Someone who was present at the ground informed TSR that the Mookhla Utd players got into a heated argument with the referee and the match had to be stopped after only around 60 minutes.
However, on Friday, the organisers denied that any untoward incident took place.
