Shillong, Jan 11: Assam Regiment pipped Shillong Lajong 1-0 in the first quarterfinal of the Invitation Knock Out Football Tournament 2022-23 match at New Nongstoin yesterday.
The only goal of the game was scored by Assam Regiment’s M Nengnong in the 72nd minute.
His team mate, Md Alamgir (pictured), was named Player of the Match.
The second quarterfinal will be between Ri-Bhoi United and Kith United on 18th January at 1:30PM. The winner of this match will meet Assam Regiment in the semifinal round.
