Shillong, Feb 11: New Heaven won the final of the Third Division of the Shillong Cricket League by a comfortable seven wickets over Sportive Juniors at Polo Ground here today.
Sportive Juniors batted first after winning the toss and posted 131/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Mukesh Balmiki struck a run-a-ball 65, almost half the entire runs of his team. Bikram Pradhan (2/17) and Srikanth Pradhan (2/35) claimed two wickets each.
In reply, New Heaven reached the target in 18 overs and for the loss of only three wickets.
Sanjiv Ghosh hit 35 from 40 deliveries and Anupam Paul 34 from 41, while Suresh Balmiki (1/18) and Bappan Dutta (1/22) took a wicket each.
Ghosh was named Player of the Final.
As champions, New Heaven received Rs 10,000 as prize money.
