Shillong, Feb 16: Friends United CC and Cricket Lovers CC won their respective matches on the fifth day of the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s 2nd District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2023 today.

In the first game of the day, Marbisu CC elected to bowl first after winning the toss, with Friends United making 118/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Player of the Match Nangkiewkor Moore Don top-scored with 34.

In reply, Marbisu were restricted to 108/9 in their full quota of overs, with Ernestin Kyntiewbor Swer bagged 3/23 for Friends United, while Fervent Rymbai hit 25 for Marbisu.

The second match saw Cricket Lovers bat first on winning the toss. They hit a huge 155/6, with Md Muksodul Choudhury going at a strike rate of over 200 in his smashing innings of 41 off 20 deliveries, while Skhembor Khongbtep claimed 2/18.

In reply, Pomshutia lost fewer wickets but were restricted to only 111/4. Shembhalang Pyngrope hit the bulk of his side’s runs (67 from 54), while Choudhury took 2/13 and was subsequently named Player of the Match.
