Shillong, Mar 25: Kimtera D Sangma hit 90 with the bat and claimed three wickets in just 2 overs as South Garo Hills District Cricket Association inflicted defeat by 174 runs on Shillong Cricket Association in the U-14 Girls Inter District Cricket T20 Tournament 2023 in Nongstoin today.

Put into bat after losing the toss, SGH made a phenomenal 234/1 in their 20 overs and then bowled out SCA for 60.

SCA started the day well with Joanna Pyngrope (1/37) claiming a wicket with the very first ball but Kimtera and Tempali Basumatary then produced their huge 234-run partnership.

Kimtera struck 12 fours in her unbeaten innings of 90 from 68 deliveries, while Basumatary was neck-and-neck, finishing on 89 not out from 69 balls, with 13 fours.

In the chase, no SCA batter managed to reach double figures but 39 extras did help the team to get to at least 60 when they were bowled out. Kimtera took 3/6, Shreya R Marak 3/10 and Mania Sangma 2/12.

Basumatary effected one stumping as wicketkeeper but it was Kimtera who was named Player of the Match for her efforts with bat and ball.
