Shillong, Apr 24: A father-son duo completed a rare feat recently by claiming two of the top three positions in an autocross race in Aizawl.
Gareth Pariat and his father Mihsalan Bareh, from East Jaintia Hills, were taking part in the 27th Motocross and Autocross event, which was organised by the Mizoram Motor Sport Association on 21st and 22nd April.
The pair competed in the Open Autocross category where Pariat placed first and Bareh third.
Another Meghalayan, Remeky Nongtdu of Sutnga, came first in the Novice category.
Autocross is a timed competition in which drivers navigate one at a time through a defined course.
