Shillong, Jul 31: These are the results of the Second Division League 2023 football tournament, organised by the Pyndengumiong District Sports Association of Eastern West Khasi Hills, at Madan Dommawlum today.
The first match saw Mawphanniew SC run away with a 7-1 victory against Jakhong SC with the very first hat-trick of the tournament this year scored by Habildar Rani (25′, 64′, 78′). The victors’ other scorers were Colmanstar L Mairang (27′), Pynskhem Mawblei (39′), Nathaniel L Mairang (42′) and Saindorlang L Mairang (47′).
It was actually Jakhong who scored the first goal, via Kestarlin L Marshillong, in only the first minute but the game went rapidly against them after that.
In the second match, Kynshi Mawria SC edged Rahjingshai SC 1-0 in a tamer contest. The lone goal was scored by Esheldonald Syiemlieh, again in the first minute.
