Shillong, Aug 12: Mawryngkneng Mission FC squeaked past Mawkasiang SC 5-4 in a tiebreaker that decided their pre-quarterfinal match in the 7th Invitation Wahiajer Football Tournament 2023 at Wahiajer Stadium today.
Both sides were drawn 1-1 after normal time, with Andy Kharsati (24′) scoring for Mawryngkneng Mission and Paulino Mylliempdah (65′) for Mawkasiang.
Iaisuk Myrboh of Mawryngkneng Mission was declared Player of the Match.
The next fixture is scheduled for 15th August between Ummulong SC and Phlongingkhaw FC at 3PM.
