Shillong, Aug 31: A stellar performance saw Diengpasoh SC thrash Laitkroh SC 8-0 today, with Banpynkmenlang Kharsati scoring five goals in the Group D match of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division at Third Ground, Polo, here.
Kharsati scored in the first, 10th, 18th, 43rd and 60th minutes. Having scored four goals prior to today (including another hat-trick), he now has nine goals to his name as is far and away the league’s top scorer this season.
The other goals today were provided by Diengpasoh’s Suklang Baino (52′, 63′) and Wanteiskhem Kurbah (27′).
Before today, Diengpasoh were at the bottom of the group standings but now have 4 points, while Laitkroh have 3. Both sides have played three games each.
