Shillong, Sep 5: Shillong Lajong FC today announced the signing of their second foreign player for I-League 2023-24 – Abdou Karim Samb from Senegal.
The 27-year-old striker has played in Turkey, Morocco, Lebanon and Libya in the past.
He’s had some success in his home country, winning the First Division title with ASC Jaraaf in 2016, being named Best Player that year and then going on to be the second-highest goal scorer the following season.
Samb’s addition to Lajong comes after the club recently announced that they had signed on Brazilian defender Daniel Goncalves.
