Shillong, Sep 25: Shillong Lajong FC won the final of the Chakradhar Deka Football Tournament in Assam, the club announced yesterday.
Lajong were 3-1 victors over Delhi FC 3-1 at the Nalbari Ground.
At the prize distribution ceremony afterwards, SLFC players took home numerous awards. Phrangki Buam was named Best Forward, Neithovilie Chalieu Best Goalkeeper, Kenstar Kharshong Best Defender, Laiwang Bohham Player of the Match and Sangti Janai Shianglong Player of the Tournament, Emerging Player of the Tournament and Attractive Player of the Tournament (yes, really).
Bobby Lyngdoh Nongbet was also named Best Coach.
