Shillong, Oct 19: Skhemlang Suba will represent Meghalaya at the 3rd U-23 Open National Championship in the men’s 800m event in Chandigarh, the Meghalaya Athletics Association announced today.
The championship will run from 20th to 24th October.
Suba will then travel on to Goa for the National Games, where he is one of only two track and field athletes from the state taking part.
The Ri-Bhoi runner has had much success in local events and also won a gold medal at the North East Olympic Games last year in the 800m.
