Shillong, Nov 1: Iatyllilang SC reached the final of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division with a 1-0 win over Mawkriah West SC in the second semifinal at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Iatyllilang will thus meet Kharang SC in the final as the latter had won their last-four fixture yesterday.
Today’s goal was scored by Melawantei Kharmuti (85′), which was the Iatyllilang top scorer’s fifth goal of the season. It also happened to be the 250th goal of the Fourth Division season.
Incidentally, three out of the four quarterfinals and both semifinals have all ended 1-0 as the contests are that much closer given that the teams that have reached the knockouts are the best to have taken part this year.
The final will take place on 4th November at First Ground with kick-off scheduled for 1:30PM.
Meanwhile, the Second Division will return tomorrow with its first Group B matches. At 11:30AM it’ll be Nongrah SC versus Pohkseh SC followed by Lumshyiap SC against Imson SC at 2PM. Both games will take place at First Ground.
