Shillong, Nov 20: Shillong Lajong beat Siniolchu FC of Sikkim 1-0 to lift the champions’ trophy of the OIL-DFA All India U-19 Inter-Academy Invitational Football Tournament in Duliajan, Assam, this evening.
The only goal of the game was scored by Lajong’s Mebannangkiew Thabah. Samchaphrang Lato was named Player of the Match.
In addition, Lajong took home individual awards at the prize distribution ceremony. Pranav Sundarraman was named Best Goalkeeper, Nihaar Manorama Best Defender and Badondor Marbaniang Player of the Tournament.
SLFC were presented with a cheque of Rs 1 lakh and trophy by the organisers.
