Shillong, Jan 25: Meghalaya took a step closer to a medal in the Khelo India Youth Games 2024 with a 2-1 victory against Punjab in Chennai today.
This was Meghalaya’s second win in Group A after having defeated Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
Badondor Marbaniang and Mebannangkiew Thabah scored a goal each for Meghalaya today.
The team’s next and final group encounter will be against hosts Tamil Nadu on Saturday morning at 9AM at the JN Stadium’s B Ground.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals.
