Shillong, Mar 21: The Meghalaya Football Association felicitated Bonifilia Shullai here yesterday.
Bonifilia had recently been selected in the Indian U-16 women’s team and represented the country at the SAFF U-16 Women’s Championship in Nepal.
She was felicitated by MFA President Hamletson Dohling in the presence of other senior MFA officials and her family members.
Bonifilia was in the starting line-up of all four of India’s matches and played the full 90 minutes of each one. She also scored one goal against Nepal.
India, however, finished as runners-up in the tournament to Bangladesh, losing the final on penalties.
