Shillong, May 4: North Liberty Higher Secondary School bagged the title of Overall Champions at the District Level Inter School Athletic Meet 2024 in West Jaintia Hills, which concluded yesterday in Jowai at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium.
Athletes of North Liberty won 14 gold medals, 12 silver and four bronze.
The three-day meet was organised by the office of the District Sports Officer and the West Jaintia District Sports Association.
The Best Team awards for U-14 boys and girls both went to North Liberty HSS. In the U-16 category, the boys’ award went to Government Boys HSS and the girls’ award went to North Liberty HSS.
Government Boys HSS also won the Best Team award in the U-18 age group, with North Liberty once again claiming the corresponding girls’ title.

U-14 boys – Stephan Wakambam Daimary (Adventist HSS)
U-14 girls – Iban-e-ti-lut Shylla (North Liberty HSS)
U-16 boys – Teilang-mi-i Phawa (Government Boys HSS)
U-16 girls – Eladki Ksoo (North Liberty HSS)
U-18 boys – Iohi-ksan Lyngdoh (Government Boys HSS)
U-18 girls – Deigratia Dan (North Liberty HSS)
