Shillong, Jul 2: There were victories today for Umiew Maw U Sam SC and Nongthymmai Raitnongkynrih SC in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 at Polo here.
The other match of the day, between Mawnianglah Youth SC and Mawpdang SC in Group B, ended in the first goalless draw of the season.
In the first contest of the day, also in Group B, Umiew Maw U Sam edged New Challenger SC 1-0 right at the end of the 70-minute contest via Emmanuel Rongrin.
Then, in Group C, Nongthymmai Raitnongkynrih had to come from conceding early to beat Mawlynrei 2-1. Winestjune Dohling (3′) got Mawlynrei ahead but Nicolson Wankhar (10′) and Iaikyrmenskhem Shynret (14′) turned the match on its head and all within the first quarter of an hour.
