Shillong, Jul 3: Manbhakupar Malngiang scored the first hat-trick of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 as Laitumkhrah SC demolished Lumkseh SC 7-0 in Group E at Polo here today.
There was also a big win for Laitkroh SC as they defeated Pynthorbah SC 4-0 in Group D. The other match of the day was also in Group D and saw Laitlulong SC and Mawklot SC split points in a 1-1 draw.
Manbhakupar scored four goals, starting in the very first minute of the match before adding further strikes in the third, 19th and 51st at Third Ground. Team mates Iashanbor Buhphang (42′, 45′) and Hamlet Thabah (60′) also found the back of the net.
At the same time but over at First Ground, Cheristar Nongkynrih (16′, 50′) and Rishailan Myrthong (23′, 58′) produced a brace of goals each for Laitkroh.
Later, neither side could break the deadlock until Mawklot took the lead in the 65th minute via Kerry Dohling. Samuel Lyngdoh then equalised in the second minute of stoppage time in the 70-minute match.
