Shillong, Jul 10: Mawlynrei SC recorded their first victory of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 at Polo here today on the back of a hat-trick from Martin Marboh.
Mawlynrei comprehensively defeated Umsohsun 4-0 at Third Ground in Group C. The other match of the day, also in Group C, saw Golf Link SC versus Nongthymmai Raitnongkynrih SC finish 1-1.
Martin scored his goals in the 23rd, 53rd and 63rd minutes, with Daman Kyriam (64′) adding another a minute later. Mawlynrei had already suffered two defeats before today but victory at least took him up to fourth in the standings.
At First Ground Zedly Syiemlieh (14′) put Golf Link in front but Iashanskhem Marbaniang (34′) pulled the Nongthymmai Raitnongkynrih level just before half time in the 70-minute match.
