Shillong, Oct 28: Mawkhar SC and Mawtawar SC played out a 1-1 draw in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2024 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The match had been meant to take place on Friday but only the first half had been possible that day due to heavy fog that blanketed Shillong.
After 45 minutes the game was abandoned, with the second half played today.
Both goals arrived in stoppage time, with Vergelous Shylla (90’+4) striking first for Mawkhar before Mawtawar equalised through Maxterfield Mukhim (90’+8).
Mawtawar lead the standings after three rounds with 7 points. Mawkhar are sixth with 4 points.
