Shillong, Nov 22: Dhana CSC and Thangskai Tigers SC won their respective matches in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2024 in Khliehriat today.
Dhana blanked Khliehriat West YWSC 2-0 with goals by Phon Khaii (13′) and Marki Swer (26′).
Later, Chiehruphi SYWSC took the lead through an 18th minute own goal but slipped to a 3-2 loss to the Tigers.
After conceding, the Tigers equalised in the 22nd minute through Pynthymme Rymbai, who then converted a 25th minute penalty to give his side the lead. Chiehruphi were awarded a penalty of their own soon after, however, and used it to equalise via Sandi Kasar (29′).
It then came down to Verdy Nongtdu (90’+1) in stoppage time to score Thangskai’s winning goal.
Tomorrow will witness the final of the EJHDFA’s First Division 2024 between Diengshynrum SC and Shilliang Umshong SC at 2PM at the Diengshynrum Artificial Turf.
