Shillong, Dec 16: The four matches held in Polo here today in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2024 all resulted in decisive victories for Madanrting SC, Laitkor SC, Rangdajied United FC and Lumparing SC.
At First Ground, in Group A, Madanrting defeated Mawpat SC 5-1 in the early fixture. Shemery Rynjah (20′), Phibajanai Nongsteng (25′, 44′), Marine Kharkongor (17′) and Maidenly Nongbri (59′) scored for Madanrting and Dahunshisha Syiemlieh (63′) for Mawpat.
Also in Group A, Laitkor blanked Kharang SC 5-0 with goals by Sanfida Nongrum (24′), Ribahunshisha Kharshiing (29′, 30′), Iaraplang Nongrum (32′) and Tracy Rympei (38′).
Then, in Group B, Rangdajied went one better to defeat Nongrim Hills SC 6-0 thanks to a brace of goals by Inrila-i-dor Khongthaw (6′, 25′) and Eightfullness Shangdiar (42′, 57′) as well as individual strikes by Eiladki Ksoo (9′) and Ideibanri Kharpan (63′).
Finally, in the last match of an eventful day, Lumparing defeated New Challengers 4-0, also in Group B. Marbarin Nongrum (5′), Iaphisha Marbaniang (16′) and Fragrancy Riwan (27′, 32′) were the scorers.
