Shillong, Mar 23: Rangkynsai CC defeated United XI by 62 runs in Group B of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25 here yesterday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Rangkynsai were all out for 229 in 39.4 overs, led by Kishan Lyngdoh’s cracking 87 from 50 deliveries. Sanvert Kurkalang also contributed a valuable 38 from 42 balls. United XI’s Abir Chakraborty claimed 2/25 in 8 overs with the ball.
In reply, United XI were dismissed for 167 in 36.2 overs. Yogesh Tiwari tried to get his side close but was out for 48 from 56. Chaman Pushp bagged 3/6 in 3 overs. Kishan (pictured left) was named Player of the Match for his fine half-century.
Meanwhile, today’s fixture between Lumpyngad CC and Raj Bhavan in Group B was abandoned due to rain and a wet outfield. Each side received 1 point each.
On Monday Nongmensong CC will face Langsning CC in Group A.
