Shillong, Jun 18: Laitumkhrah SC began their Group E campaign in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2025 with a whopping 4-1 win against New Challenger at the SSA Stadium at First Ground here today.
The other two matches, both in Group D, were 1-1 draws, first between Umsohsun and Mawpdang and then between Pommura and Laitlulong.
Laitumkhrah’s Hamlet Thabah (13′), Mebankhraw Nongrum (43′), Hamebanshanlang Kharbangar (57′) and Me-u-ba-ai Sumer (80’+4) scored a goal each, while Samborlang Jyrwa (70′) provided New Challenger’s lone goal.
In the early kick-off, Sparkle Swer (40’+2) put Mawpdang into the lead before Umsohsun’s Balajied Khonglam (67′) cancelled it out in the second half.
The next game saw both goals scored in the first half, through Kitbok Thabah (18′) of Pommura and then Bankerlang Khardewsaw (24′) of Laitlulong.
