Shillong, Jul 23: Lawmali Pyllun retained their hold of provisional first place in Group A following a 1-1 draw with Madanrting in the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The other match of the day, in the same group, saw Nongumlong move up to second place with a 2-0 victory against Pomlakrai.
Four out of six Group A matches have now ended in draws, with every side experiencing two each except for Nongumlong.
Today, after a deadlocked first half, Banlailang Thabah (55′) put Madanrting in front before Lahnambhah Manner (90′) equalised at the tail end of the contest for Lawmali.
Later, Wallam Lyngdoh (20′) and Marques Mythong (67′) scored on either side of half time to give Nongumlong their first victory.
Having played three games, Lawmali have 5 points, with Nongumlong on 3 from two outings. Sanmer and Madanrting both have 2 points from as many matches, while Pomlakrai have 2 from three.
