Shillong, Jul 27: Yesterday was the sixth day of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Second Division 2025 in Khliehriat.
In the first match, in Pool H, Lumshnong YWSC registered a convincing 3-0 victory against Iapmala United FC, with goals by Joy Peace Pohtmi (41′), Arniki Suchiang (51′) and Rida-o Rupai (59′).
Then, in Pool A, Moosianglamare New YWOSC defeated Lakadong Ummat SSC 4-1. Juhki Suting (10′), Iotmi Nongtdu (31′) and Woldbest Nongtud (44′, 49′) scored for Moosianglamare New YWOSC and Rimiki Chadong (18′) for Lakadong Ummat.
In the last match of the day, in Pool B, Moosianglamare Old SWO won a hard-fought battle against Ratacherra CSC, which ended 5-4 at the final whistle.
Gradely Mylliem (20′, 39′, 42′) scored a hat-trick in a losing cause for Ratacherra, whose other goal was by Lutmon Pohshna (75′).
Moosianglamare Old SWO were never behind in the game, having taken the lead through Pyniar Paslein (8′). Gradely briefly equalised for Ratacherra before Pyniar (30′) and Premio Muksor (35′) made it 3-1 in favour of Moosianglamare Old SWO.
Gradely scored twice again to bring the scores level at 3-3 but Sol Sympli (72′, 80’+3) scored on either side of Lutmon’s goal to give Moosianglamare Old SWO the win.
There will be no Second Division matches until Tuesday as Monday will be given over to the Third Division.
