Shillong, Aug 21: PFR Football Academy had it all to do as they were two goals down inside 25 minutes but managed to turn things around in the second half and win 3-2 against Tynring in Group C of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The other match of the day, also in Group C, finished 1-1 between Sohryngkham and Umphrup.
Damonlang Sylliang (2′, 24′) struck a brace for Tynring and his club were able to hold that lead until half time. Ten minutes into the second half, however, Adelbert Khongshun (55′) pulled one back for PFR, who then equalised via Peter Lamare (66′) and then took the lead thanks to Thymmaibor Mukhim (74′).
In the second match, Winjesstar Nongbri (21′) and Macheaveen Nongbri (28′) scored for Umphrup and Sohryngkham respectively.
