Shillong, Feb 11: Mylliem Lum SC defeated Nelson SC by a whopping 5-0 margin in the 2nd Shortimai Knockout Football Tournament in Smit yesterday.
There was a change in schedule that meant that this was the only match of the day. Nevertheless, it didn’t disappoint, with Shaitborlang Kharkrang (16′, 21′, 23′) netting a hat-trick, his three goals coming in the space of just seven minutes.
Eliastar Nongsiej (6′, 28′) put in a brace as well, meaning that all five goals were scored in less than half an hour.
The next match will take place on Monday, Smit market day, between Jatah SC and Mihpli United at 2PM. The following day will see Umiew Maw-u-Sam SC face Sohtun of Thynroit at 1PM.
