Shillong, Sep 26: The Meghalaya Cricket Association today revealed the names of its 15-member squad for the BCCI’s U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy plate group, which will take place in Lucknow from next month.

The tournament will begin on 26th October. Also in the plate group are the other developing cricket states of the North East – Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. The top two from the group stage will qualify for the plate final.

Meghalaya will be captained by Jayshree Singh, while Fennysha Nongrum will act as her vice-captain. Five standbys have also been selected by the Junior Women’s Selection Committee.

Meghalaya’s preparatory camp for this tournament will run from 9th to 22nd October at Nongkhrah, Nongpoh. Players and support staff from Khasi-Jaintia Hills will assemble in Shillong first on 8th October at 2PM and travel down to Nongpoh together whereas players from Garo Hills will proceed directly and report at Nongpoh on 8th October. The team will then depart for Lucknow on 23rd October.
