Shillong, Oct 14: Pay For Right Football Academy and Mawlum Tyrsad SC won their respective matches in the Meghalaya State Women’s League 2025 to maintain their impressive unbeaten streaks.
PFR edged Attacker’s YC 1-0 in Group A in Shillong yesterday, while Mawlum Tyrsad blanked Young SSCC 2-0 in Group B today. Also in Group B, Jakrem SC inflicted a first defeat on Bright Future SSCC, winning 3-0. Both Group B games took place in Mawlum Tyrsad.
Yesterday, the intense and even contest was heading for a goalless draw, that is until Nisilia Majaw (87′) pulled off one of her characteristic strikes late in the game to give PFR (of Shillong Sports Association) all 3 points.
It was a tough result for Attacker’s YC (of Ri-Bhoi District Sports Association) to take but they can take pride in that they played some great football and made a top team really fight hard. PFR, meanwhile, moved to the top of Group A with a full 9 points from three games played.
Today, Jakrem (of Mawkyrwat DSA) beat Bright Future (of Pyndengumiong DSA) with goals by Sunalinda Iawren (12′, 56′) and Iaphisha Marbaniang (75′). This was Bright Future’s first loss and the first time they had conceded any goals.
Later, Mawlum Tyrsad (of Tyrsad Area SA) were up against Young SSCC (of Pyndengumiong DSA) and scored through H Myrthong (38’) and B Khongsit (90+4’) for their third win. With one draw as well, Mawlum Tyrsad have 10 points and sit at the top of Group B.
