Shillong, Nov 9: Pohkseh defeated Lawsohtun 3-2 in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2025 on Saturday to leave the latter on the brink of relegation.
Pohkseh scored through Mark O Wanswett (9′, 18′) and Jonewest Mawiong (35′), while Shabor Jyrwa (21′, 72′) scored a brace for Lawsohtun.
Victory moved Pohkseh up one spot to sixth, above Nongkrem, though the latter have two games in hand. Pohkseh are now tied on 7 points with Mawkhar after seven rounds but the latter have head-to-head advantage after winning their meeting on 22nd October.
Meanwhile, Lawsohtun still have two games to go but things are looking grim as they have yet to win a single game this season. They are currently occupying the relegation zone with Ryntih.
