Shillong, Feb 19: Badarisha Kharumnuid will play for Roots FC in the Indian Women’s League second division (IWL 2) for 2025-26.
Badarisha represented Pay For Right Football Academy in the Meghalaya Women’s State League 2025 and Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League in 2024 and 2025.
Her move to Roots, a Bangalore-based club, was revealed by PFR yesterday. In the past she has also represented Meghalaya at the Senior Women’s National Football Championship and PIFA in the Maharashtra women’s league.
Badarisha’s prowess in defence earned her the award for Best Defender at the SSA’s Women’s Football League this past season where PFR were semifinalists.
PFR wished her all the best for the season ahead.
