Shillong, Mar 3: Friends United defeated Sohra Combine by an easy eight wickets in the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 at Saitsohpen, Sohra, today.
Friends United won the toss and chose to field, with Sohra Combine making a sub-par 100/8 in 20 overs. Jona L Nonglait performed admirably for 49 from 28 balls, while Precious Nongrud claimed 3/18 in 4 overs.
In the chase, Friends United required only 16.2 overs to chase down the target and lost two wickets in the process. E Nathan A Diengdoh top-scored with 53 from 52 deliveries in an excellent knock but it was Precious who was named Player of the Match for his destructive bowling in the first innings.
