Shillong, Mar 9: Meghalaya’s Alisha Lyngdoh and Bonifilia Shullai have been named in a 23-member squad of the India U-17 women’s football team that will travel to Myanmar for two friendlies there.
Alisha has been retained from the India team that won the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship 2026 in February. Bonifilia wasn’t part of that side but has played for the U-17 national team before.
The Pamela Conti-coached team will travel to Yangon for the two friendlies on 12th and 14th March against hosts Myanmar.
India are undergoing preparations for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup, which will be held in China in May. India have been drawn in Group B of the continental competition with Japan, Australia and Lebanon.
