Shillong, Jul 23: The group stage of the State-Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament 2026 concluded today and the best teams from each division will battle it out in the semifinals on Friday.

The tournament is being organised by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, with fixtures across the U-15 boys’, U-17 boys’ and U-17 girls’ categories.

In the U-17 boys’ category, the semifinals will be between Dapboklang Giri Memorial SS (WKH) and Wapung HSS (EJH) at 8AM and then between OM Roy Memorial HSS (EKH) and Bajengdoba HSS (NGH) at 10AM. Both games will be at the MFA Ground in Polo.

In the U-15 boys’ category, Little Star HSS (EWKH) will face North Liberty HSS (WJH) in the first semifinal at 12PM, followed by Umpohliew Jingtip HSS (EKH) versus Step By Step SS (EJH) in the second at 2PM. These two games will also take place at the MFA Ground.

At the SSA Stadium, the U-17 girls’ semis will be held. First, North Liberty HSS (WJH) will go up against Lurmangkara SS (WKH) at 9:30AM followed by Nongjri Presbyterian SS (Ri-Bhoi) against Little Star HSS (EWKH) at 11:30AM.

Today, in the U-15 boys’ category, Anderson HSS (WKH) secured a 2-1 victory over Don Bosco HSS (WGH) in Group C. Jerrickson Nonglait (9′, 49′) scored twice for Anderson, while Tangdorik R Marak managed a lone goal for Don Bosco in the 12th minute.

Myngken Christian HSS (RB) dominated St Claret HSS (SWGH) 4-0 in Group D. The players who netted goals were Unique Brandon Malngiang (33′), Menangkyrshan Nongrum (39′), Niwanlang I Rongbang (50’+1) and Rikupar Mawlong (50’+2).

In Group A, Chusok Rikko N Arengh from Mangsang HSS (EGH) took the lead in the seventh minute while Becchamshwa Kharwar equalised for Maharam Government Govt HSS (SWKH) in the 40th, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Lastly, Umpohliew Jingtip HSS (EKH) were 5-0 victors against Dilma Apal HSS (NGH) in Group B. Roniki Kharshandi opened the scoring in the 11th minute, followed by Nangteimanbha Syiemlieh in the 18th. The match also witnessed a hat-trick from Borntius Dkhar, who scored in the 17th, 40th and 43rd minutes.

In the U-17 boys’ division, OM Roy Memorial HSS (EKH) edged past Myngken Christian HSS (RB) with a 4-3 victory in Group B. Chanjib Chetry scored a hat-trick for Myngken Christian in the 11th, 24th and 70th minutes, while Damebansharai Hinge opened the scoring for OM Roy Memorial in the 21st minute, followed by a hat-trick from Banaijingshai Kharkongor in the 38th, 53rd and 67th minutes.

Karukol HSS (SGH) emerged victorious against Dapboklang Giri Memorial SS (WKH) with a 3-1 scoreline in Group A. The goals for Karukol were scored by Jeniam Ch Sangma (4′), Sandonabath D Sangma (9′) and Jakribath A Sangma (32′). The lone goal for Dapboklang Giri Memorial was struck by Bhaboklang L Nonglait (17′). That left all three teams (the other being Balang Mawlangwir HSS (SWKH) in this group on 3 points each and Dapboklang Giri Memorial went through on goal difference.

In Group D, Gipsang M Marak (5′) from Bajengdoba HSS (NGH) scored the only goal of the match against Govt Boys HSS (WGH) in a 1-0 win. In contrast, Group C saw six goals, with Wapung HSS (EJH) defeating St Paul HSS (EGH) 5-1. Chukam Chisak M Sangma opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Wapung came back through Mehistar Lyngdoh (25′, 54′), Kamwamutmi Dkhar (34′, 35’+2) and Jeffarson Phawa (57′).

In the U-17 girls’ category, North Liberty HSS (WJH) soared to a 14-0 victory in Group A against Upper Kharkutta UPS (NGH). Elizabeth Thanglai (2′), Baiarbha Nongrum (3′, 7′, 20′, 25′), Virginia Pyrtuh (6′, 26′), Parimika Khongain (10′), Peacefully Pohphlet (11′, 27′), Saphika Pyrtuh (12′, 15′, 27′) and Receive Ksoo (28′) were the scorers.

Group B saw Nongjri Presbyterian SS (RB) dominate the match against Rangthong Christian HSS (SWKH) with a 3-0 win. Banrity Lyngdoh (1′), Rikyntiew Diengdoh (16′) and Mebanrihun Syngkli (29′) were the scorers.

Montfort SS (WGH) secured a 2-0 victory against Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (EGH). The goals for Montfort were scored by Manchira Ch Marak (42′) and Simera T Sangma (44′).

Finally, Little Star HSS (EWKH) edged past Tyrsad HSS (EKH) with a 1-0 victory. The lone goal of the match was scored by Jesica Myrthong in the 18th minute.
