Shillong, Sep 24: Nongthymmai defeated Mawtawar 4-1 in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Badonkupar Marbaniang scored a first half hat-trick with goals in the 21st, 28th and 45th minutes. His teammate Iaikyrmen Shynret (43′) also found the back of the net in the first half.
Mawtawar found a goal in the second 45 minutes through Ronaldo Rangslang (72′) but that was their only success of the day.
Mawtawar had drawn their first match 0-0 with Laitkyrhong, while Nongthymmai lost to Malki 3-2.
