Shillong, Aug 21: Meghalaya defeated Chandigarh 3-0 in Pool D of the Subroto Cup 2025’s U-17 girls’ category in New Delhi today morning.
Meghalaya are being represented by Nongjri Presbyterian Secondary School of Ri-Bhoi at the tournament.
Jasmine Syngkli, Rimika Khongkai and Baiaiteilut Mangu scored a goal each.
Meghalaya had defeated the International Sports Schools Organisation 5-0 yesterday. Only the top team from each pool will qualify for the quarterfinals.
Meghalaya will face Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNHDD) in their third and final pool match tomorrow at 6:15AM.
