Shillong, Oct 21: Shillong Lajong will play their first match of the Indian Football League 2026-27 against Mohammedan Sporting in Kalyani, West Bengal, on 31st October.

The first leg fixtures were released on the IFL’s social media handles yesterday.

Mohammedan had been relegated from the Indian Super League after finishing last in 2025-26.

Lajong will then return to Shillong for back-to-back games at the SSA Stadium against Chanmari and Sreenidi Deccan before heading to Goa to face Dempo on 19th November.

SLFC finished in an historic second place last year with an all-Indian squad but this time they’ve hired four foreigners to, hopefully, take them one step further.

Apart from Mohammedan, the other new faces in the IFL this year are Bengaluru United, who were promoted from I-League 2, Samaleswari (who took over Delhi FC’s spot) and Nagaland United (who did the same for Aizawl FC).

Over 4 days Lajong will be involved in another two home games – against Nagaland Utd on 25th November and Rajasthan Utd on the 29th.

Then come three games on the road versus Bengaluru Utd, Samaleswari and Gokulam Kerala before heading home for their first match of 2027 against Real Kashmir on 10th January.
