Shillong, May 18: Three members of the Meghalaya Association of Kickboxing Organisations (MAKO) won medals at the Asian Kickboxing Confederation Championships in Kyrgyzstan earlier this month.
Lamphrang Kharsahnoh bagged a silver medal in the -54kg K-1, while Baremdor Kharmuti (-51kg K-1) and Pynshai Mawrie (-51kg low kick) both brought home bronze from the 5th-12th May event.

MAKO said that the minister was “very pleased with the achievements” of the kickboxers, who brought laurels to the state and country.
He also assured MAKO of help in providing infrastructure to spur on kickboxing in Meghalaya. This was appreciated by MAKO President Donny Ranee.
