Shillong, Jan 31: After two defeats, Malki SC finally got out of the blocks today in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2023 with a 3-1 victory over Umphyrnai SC at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Maxcimilando Tariang produced a welcome hat-trick for Malki, scoring in the 69th, 73rd and 81st minutes. These were Malki’s first goals of the season.
Umphyrnai were actually leading for the majority of the game as they had taken the lead in the eighth minute via Isharwell Mukhim.
However, an hour later Max equalised and then scored twice more for the come-from-behind victory.
The next fixture will be held tomorrow at 2:45PM between Mylliem SC and Lawsohtun SC.
