Shillong, Jul 19: Ryntih will meet Combine FC in the final of Wahiajer SC’s 5th Invitation Football Tournament after the former came through as 1-0 victors over Meghalaya Police in the second semifinal today.
Combine had booked their place in the title match after defeating Mawmang 2-1 in the first semi on 13th July. Lastborn Suting (49’) and Masan War (78’) had scored for Combine, while Samson Nongrum (71’) had done the same for Mawmang. Dayo Pale was the man-of-the-match.
Today, man-of-the-match Sheen Sohktung scored for Ryntih in the 60th minute.
The final will be held on 27th July at 1PM. The champions will take home Rs 2 lakh, with Rs 1 lakh going to the runners-up.
