Shillong, Nov 5: Seven Brothers defeated 58 Gorkha Training Centre 5-4 on penalties yesterday to move into the next round of Kynshi Bangla SCSC’s 2nd Football Knockout Tournament.
The first half was goalless, but both sides scored one goal each in the second half to push the match into a tiebreaker.
Seven Brothers actually missed two of their first three kicks from the spot, but 58 GTC were also guilty of inaccurate penalties later on and Seven Brothers snuck over the line.
Shanbok Nongsiej, Seven Brothers’ captain, was named man-of-the-match.
