Shillong, Jan 27: A Meghalaya U-17 team are heading to Agartala to take part in the School Games Federation of India’s 65th National School Games’ football tournament.
Sports & Youth Affairs Deputy Director Jasper Marak encouraged the boys at a sendoff at the JN Stadium here today.
The 18-member squad will be led by coach Jeffrey Warlarpih and the tournament will begin on 29th January. Meghalaya have been clubbed with Bihar, DAV, IPSC and KVS in Pool B.
The top two teams from each pool will progress to the quarterfinals.
