Shillong, Mar 29: A 10km race was held today morning in Tura, organised by the West Garo Hills District Sports Office, district administration and District Water and Sanitation Mission.
The event began at Matchakolgre and ended at Ballonggre.
In the men’s category, Witnar A Sangma came first, followed by Bethnar A Sangma and Saljagring K Marak.
The women’s category was won Smile Orchid M Momin, with Parbina Ch Marak coming second and Nangkhiewsuki Slong third.
The youngest participant, Jeff Athamba K Marak, was also felicitated during the event and consolation prizes were also given to both male and female participants.
