Shillong, Sep 8: Meghalaya’s U-14 boys’ team, represented by Roman Catholic Evening Secondary School Mihmyntdu, demolished their opponents from Gujarat in their second match of the 61st Subroto Cup in New Delhi today, winning it 13-0.
Hamedayo Nongtdu scored four goals, Givenson Suting three, Samewon Khonglah two, Richanmi-o Lyngdoh two and Dangkermi-oo Ryngkhlem and Mar-oo P Shylla one each.
Meghalaya had defeated Maharashtra 4-0 yesterday in the Pool C opener.
As Pool C toppers, Meghalaya will play the winner of Pool D (Jharkhand, Tripura or The Air Force Schools) in the quarterfinal on Sunday.
