Shillong, Nov 9: The Meghalaya Athletics Association today named a 44-member contingent for the 2nd North East Olympic Games 2022, which are scheduled to formally begin tomorrow.
Athletics at the Games will run from 12th to 15th November and be held at the SAI Training Centre on the NEHU campus here.
The MAA named Daisy Marwein as chief coach and Beningstar Lyngkhoi as assistant coach.
“We expect to get more medals this time,” MAA Secretary Finely Pariat said in a press release. Athletics brought Meghalaya one of their three gold medals at the 1st NEOG in 2018 in Manipur through Marso Kyndait, who is also in this year’s contingent.
