Shillong, Jun 29: Mawkasiang SC beat Sohphoh SC 2-0 in the 7th Invitation Wahiajer Football Tournament 2023 at Wahiajer Stadium yesterday.
Almon Suting scored both goals for the winners, finding the back of the net in the 46th and 56th minutes.
His team mate, Farming Suting, was adjudged Player of the Match.
The next game will be played on 1st July at 2:30PM between Rympei FC and Salony Colony FC.
The knockout tournament has 32 competing teams looking to win the Rs 2.3 lakh in prize money for the champions. The runners-up get Rs 1.2 lakh.
