Shillong, Jul 21: Mawlynrei SC and Umrynjah SC won their respective matches in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
Mawlynrei defeated Laitlulong SC 3-0, while Umrynjah were 2-0 victors over Lamlynti SC (Sohiong).
In the first match, Bebanshan Pyngrope (12′) scored the only goal of the first half but his Mawlynrei team mates Banjop Mawthoh (42′) and Kerry J Marboh (54′) added two more goals in the second half of the 70-minute match.
Later, Biangborlang Umdor (31′) and Nobarson S Nongdhar (41′) scored on either side of the break for Umrynjah.
There will be no matches in the Fourth Division until 25th July. Tomorrow will be devoted to the U-14 Boys League and semifinals of the Women’s League.
